Cooking with Aluminum. It seemed like a good idea at the time. I’m distrustful of those new oven mitts that are made from teflon or silicone or whatever it is. Anybody have my back on this one? Andrea?

We don’t really find THAT much in books that is contraband. Sometimes, though. Check out this super awesome stash of the “dank-nugs” . Ew. I wish that i hadn’t typed that. I feel gross.

I just love coming across a little gem like this when compiling a journal. It combines some of
my favorite elements: smoking, fez, campfire cookery and wearing a barrel. My kindered spirit and the author of this note are probably dead. Still, though, let’s give them a digital shout out to the land across death’s misty veil. two times, homie!

So, i’m still ironing out the whole process of owning a scanner. This is a crappy image but i hope that it’s legible because it’s worth reading. And here i thought that my secrecy and paranoia was just the result of “scorpio rising/ scorpio moon” but it turns out that I’m just following the rules! Yay!

Again, the collection of library cards of various types and styles is out of freaking control. I guess that’s what you get. Or, uh, what i get. This is a nice example of a card that has been filled in by the students themselves. For pathos, though, nothing beats a library card filled in with the same librarians handwriting year after year. The perfect combination of “Ouch” and “Yum” come together to create a transporting experience for all comers. I wish that i could be in charge of the nation wide party held to honor elementary school librarians. Which nation wide party, you ask? Good question!

i’ve been accumulating these flexible records that come inside (( mostly )) childrens books for years now. Anyone wanting to bring a record player to the studio is most welcome. Sure to be an evening to forget.
